About Family Pharmacy

Family Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy that was established in 1959. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent service all of our customers, Family Pharmacy offers a wide range of healthcare services and specializes in specialty medications, compounding, and home infusion.

Terry Spears, RPh

Terry is the son of Jim Spears, who founded the business in 1959. After graduating from Vernon High School, he went on to get his BS Pharm degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and has worked at Family Pharmacy since graduating in 1979.

Hannah Karr, Pharm.D.

Hannah was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. She completed her prerequisites at Lubbock Christian University, and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Texas Tech University in 2018. Hannah joined the team as a clinical pharmacist after graduation..

Adam Beam, Pharm.D.

Adam was born and raised in Vernon, TX and graduated from Vernon High School. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Texas Tech University. He joined the team in 2014.

Pam Caldwell, RPh

Pam is the daughter of two pharmacists from Hamilton, TX. She received her BS Pharm degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and has worked for Family Pharmacy since 1990.

Del Shumate, RPh

Waymon "Del" Shumate was born in Morton, TX and raised in Seymour Texas. After graduating high school, he went on to earn his BS Pharm degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Del joined the team in 2009 as a part-time pharmacist.
